Enhanced Security and Comprehensive Jurisdictional Coverage
Our law enforcement services at the Little River Band of Ottawa Indian Reservation encompasses a five square-mile area, extending to county-wide jurisdiction, ensuring the safety of 4,000 residents across the reservation and over 24,000 individuals within the county. Our team consists of 15 fully sworn officers, each federally and state-licensed, equipped with extensive training in the use of side-arms, shotguns, and tactical rifles, including proficiency in low-light operations. Our fleet includes 12 patrol vehicles, various watercraft, all-terrain vehicles, and snowmobiles to ensure accessibility and rapid response across diverse terrains.
We provide force protection for the tribal government and support large-scale events, ensuring a secure environment for all participants. Our officers are also skilled in the use of less-lethal tools, such as TASERs, pepper spray, and batons, for situations requiring non-lethal force. Collaborating closely with city and county law enforcement agencies, we integrate seamlessly with central dispatch systems and are an integral part of the Special Response Team (SRT), enhancing our operational capabilities.
Our commitment extends to conservation enforcement, where we are fully certified and actively engage in protecting our natural resources. Through our comprehensive security approach, advanced training, and collaboration with local law enforcement, we provide unmatched protection and service to our community.

National Emergency Training Center
The Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland, is a crucial facility dedicated to educating emergency management and firefighting professionals. Recognizing the critical nature of its operations, LRGC was entrusted with the task of providing comprehensive armed security protection to ensure the safety and integrity of the center.
LRGC’s mission was to offer round-the-clock, year-round armed security services for the NETC. The project’s scope included deploying roving and stationary guard forces, managing X-ray and entry security protocols, overseeing monitoring and dispatch operations, and providing Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) on-site to address any medical emergencies promptly.
